The inclined tube settler adopts ethylene-propylene copolymer, glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) honeycomb inclined tubes, with an inclination angle of 60°, an inclined length of 1m, and an inscribed circle diameter ranging from 35mm to 50mm. The inscribed circle diameter can be adjusted according to water quality to achieve the best sedimentation effect.
Principle of Inclined Tube Settler
The inclined tube settler is based on the principle of horizontal flow sedimentation. By adding many inclined tubes in the tank, the wetted perimeter of the water-passing section of the tank is increased, and the hydraulic radius is reduced. Therefore, at the same horizontal flow velocity V, the Reynolds number (Re) can be greatly reduced, thereby reducing water turbulence and promoting sedimentation.In addition, a 60° inclined tube assembly is installed above the sludge suspension layer. Suspended solids, solids in raw water, or flocculent alum flowers formed after coagulant addition accumulate into a thin sludge layer on the bottom side surface of the inclined tubes. Relying on gravity, they slide back to the sludge suspension layer and then sink into the sludge collection hopper, which is discharged into the sludge tank through the sludge discharge pipe for separate treatment or comprehensive utilization. The supernatant gradually rises to the collection pipe and is discharged, which can be directly discharged or reused.
Features of Inclined Tube Settler
1.Sludge can automatically fall into the slag hopper, facilitating sludge discharge and reducing the labor intensity of slag cleaning.
2.Equipped with a stirrer, chemical tank, and mixing reaction tank, it can simultaneously perform coagulation treatment on sewage, expanding the function of the device.
3.Small footprint, only 1/4 of the length of a horizontal flow sedimentation tank, and the sedimentation efficiency can be increased by 3-5 times. It adopts the laminar flow principle to improve the treatment capacity of the sedimentation tank; shortens the particle sedimentation distance, thereby reducing the sedimentation time; increases the sedimentation area of the sedimentation tank, thus improving the treatment efficiency.
Applications of Inclined Tube Settler
The inclined tube settler can be used as supporting equipment for water treatment processes such as air flotation and 生化法 (biochemical method), and can also be used for single-stage treatment of various types of sewage. 1.For electroplating wastewater containing mixed metal ions (chromium, copper, iron, zinc, nickel, etc.), the removal rate is over 90%, and generally, electroplating wastewater can meet discharge standards after treatment.
2.For coal mine and mineral processing wastewater, the turbidity can be reduced from 500-1500 mg/L to 5 mg/L.
3.For printing and dyeing wastewater, the chroma removal rate is 70-90%, and the COD removal rate is 50-70%.
4.For wastewater from tanning, food and other industries, a large amount of organic matter can be removed, with a COD removal rate of 50-80% and an impurity solid removal rate of over 90%.
5.For chemical wastewater, the COD removal rate is 60-70%, the chroma removal rate of the inclined tube settler is 60-90%, and the suspended solids meet the discharge standards.
