Introduction
The Induced Air Flotation (IAF) system treats various types of sewage with different water qualities based on the principle of combining mechanical aeration and chemical flocculation, making it an ideal physical-chemical equipment for sewage treatment. In the treatment of sewage with low pollutant content, the treated clean water can be recycled or discharged up to standards; when combined with biochemical treatment technology, it can fully achieve up-to-standard treatment of sewage.
This system is mainly applied to the purification treatment of industrial sewage in industries such as papermaking, chemical engineering, printing and dyeing, food processing, brewing, pharmaceuticals, and slaughtering.

Operation Characteristics
The HD-AF Induced Air Flotation is an excellent innovation in sewage treatment technology and equipment. It features reasonable design, convenient operation, and economical operation. It directly removes solid suspended solids from wastewater, with air generating flotation. The induced air aerator injects "micro-bubbles" directly into the sewage without prior air dissolution, and then evenly distributes the "micro-bubbles" in the sewage through a diffuser impeller. Therefore, no blockage occurs during the entire operation process, and there is no need for equipment such as pressure air dissolvers, air compressors, or circulating pumps.
Untreated sewage first enters the aeration chamber section and is fully mixed with micro-bubbles. The micro-bubbles carry solid suspended solids to the water surface during the ascending process. The sludge scraper moves along the liquid surface to scrape the suspended solids onto the inclined metal plate, which then pushes them into the sludge discharge pipe. A horizontal screw conveyor is installed inside the sludge discharge pipe to convey the collected sludge into the sludge collector. The conveyor and the sludge scraper are driven by the same motor, with a power of only 0.5 horsepower. After purification, the sewage passes through the overflow trough under the inclined plate before discharge. The overflow trough is used to control the water level of the flotation tank to ensure that the liquid in the tank does not flow into the sludge discharge pipe. An open throat pipe extends from the aeration section along the bottom of the flotation tank. While generating micro-bubbles, the induced air aerator forms a negative pressure zone at the tank bottom where the return pipe is located. This negative pressure causes the wastewater to flow back from the bottom of the tank to the aeration zone and then return to the flotation section. This process ensures that flotation continues even when there is incoming flow.
