Application and Brief Introduction
The new-type high-efficiency shallow air flotation machine is developed by our company based on the latest foreign technologies, combined with the actual conditions of sewage treatment systems in China, through nearly a decade of continuous testing, application and improvement. Compared with traditional air flotation machines, this new-type high-efficiency shallow air flotation machine has transformed the "static water inflow - dynamic water outflow" mode into "dynamic water inflow - static water outflow". This enables suspended solids (SS) to float vertically on the water surface in a relatively static environment. Sewage only needs 2-3 minutes to be treated in the purification tank, achieving extremely high treatment efficiency. More than 20 domestic units engaged in chemical pulping, semi-chemical pulping, waste paper papermaking, chemical engineering, leather making, municipal sewage treatment and other fields have all realized up-to-standard discharge after using our air flotation machines.
Main Working Principle
Air flotation separation technology refers to a process where air and water are mixed under a certain pressure to maximize the dissolution of air into water (striving for a saturated state). Then, all the formed pressure-dissolved air water is released through pressure reduction, generating a large number of tiny air bubbles. These tiny bubbles fully contact the suspended flocs in water, making the suspended flocs adhere to the micro-bubbles. The flocs then float to the water surface together with the bubbles, forming scum which is subsequently scraped off to purify the water quality.
In water supply and drainage treatment processes, solid-liquid separation technology and its equipment are one of the key items. For the removal of tiny suspended particles with a specific gravity close to that of water, air flotation is one of the most effective methods.
The KAF high-efficiency shallow air flotation machine, independently designed and developed by our company, integrates coagulation, air flotation, scum scraping, sedimentation and sludge scraping into one through elaborate design, making it an advanced water quality purification equipment. Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional air flotation equipment, this machine is designed with movable raw water inlets and purified water outlets, and the separation process is static. This design shortens the floating time of bubbles in the raw water, ensuring that the flow state of water in the tank is basically relatively static.
The suspended solids in the raw water float from the bottom of the tank to the surface at a fast speed (up to 40-100 mm/min), and the water depth only needs to be 400-500 mm. The raw water can meet the purification requirements with a retention time of 3-5 minutes.
This equipment is widely used in water supply and drainage treatment projects, specifically in the following three fields:
- Water treatment in tap water plants using lakes as water sources, for algae removal and turbidity reduction;
- Industrial sewage treatment projects, such as petrochemical industry, textile industry, printing and dyeing industry, electroplating industry, leather making industry, food industry and other fields;
- Recovery of useful substances from sewage, such as the recovery of fibers from papermaking and pulp wastewater.
