Working Principle of the Waste Gas Purification Tower
The waste gas purification tower is a two-phase countercurrent packed absorption tower. Waste gas enters the purification tower tangentially from the air inlet at the lower part of the waste gas treatment tower. Driven by the power of the ventilator, the space in the air intake section is quickly filled, and then the gas rises evenly to the first-stage packed absorption section through the flow equalization section. On the surface of the packing, the acidic (or alkaline) substances in the gas phase react chemically with the alkaline (or acidic) substances in the liquid phase. The substances produced by the reaction (mainly soluble acids or alkalis) flow into the lower storage tank along with the absorption liquid.
The incompletely absorbed acidic (or alkaline) gas continues to rise to the first-stage spray section. In the spray section, the absorption liquid is sprayed at a high speed from the uniform nozzles, forming countless droplets that fully mix with the gas and continue the chemical reaction. Then the acidic (or alkaline) gas rises to the second-stage packed section and the spray section, where an absorption process similar to that of the first stage is carried out.
The first-stage and second-stage nozzles differ in density and liquid spraying pressure, and also in the concentration range of acidic (or alkaline) gases they can absorb. The contact between the spray section and the packed section is also a process of heat and mass transfer. By controlling the flow rate of the empty tower and the residence time, the fullness and stability of the process are ensured. The upper part of the waste gas treatment tower is the demisting section, where the absorption liquid droplets in the gas are removed. The treated clean air is discharged into the atmosphere from the exhaust pipe at the upper end of the waste gas purification tower.
Due to the high requirements for industrial production sewage discharge, the sewage should be treated accordingly before discharge and can only be discharged after meeting the standards. Therefore, the emergence of the waste gas purification tower can well help enterprises solve this problem.
